Meaning, we can get them any time of the year in pretty much any green grocer. In Canada, however, it seems that squash and pumpkins are a seasonal treat to be bought up and enjoyed over the month of October. Sigh. Although, when I was in Vancouver, I did find that Meinhardt Fine Foods, on Granville Street, had a great selection of various squash and pumpkin. Good luck!
